AA Contract Negotiation Update

AA Contract Negotiation Update - September 20, 2022

21 Sep, 2022

Bargaining between the CWA-IBT Association and American Airlines will kick off on October 4th, 5th, and 6th in Dallas.

In preparation for bargaining, our CWA-IBT Association Bargaining Committees have been meeting throughout the summer. They went through an intense negotiations training in Dallas in June. And over the past several weeks, they've been analyzing members' responses to the bargaining survey. The bargaining proposals that they will bring to the table are based on those survey responses.

The CWA Bargaining Committee includes:
Tom Gunning (BOS), President, CWA Local 1171
Tony Abrams (MIA), Executive Board Representative, CWA Local 3146
Quesaun Naugle (Chicago), President, CWA Local 4201
Tammy Scott (Reservations), President, CWA Local 3642 (Raleigh, NC)
James Womack (Reservations), CWA Local 6001 (Dallas, TX)

The IBT Bargaining Committee includes:
Tara Kelly (LAX)
Lynn Koch (PHX Res)

Back Row: James Womack, Jarla Evans (CWA District 3 Staff), Anetra Session (CWA District 6 Staff), Chris Peifer (CWA Attorney), Tony Abrams, Tammy Scott, Que Naugle

As front line workers during the Covid-19 pandemic, we risked our own health and made tremendous sacrifices at work--even extending our contract expiration--to help the company weather the crisis. Now is the time to stand together for the improvements we need and deserve!

The first step toward winning a fair contract is to stay informed. Our Bargaining Committees will share regular, accurate updates via email and text message. Make sure we have your personal email address and cell phone number by filling in this form. And share this message with co-workers who may not already be on our email and text list.

We will also post information on our Facebook page and at american-agents.org. We urge you to avoid unauthorized social media sources that may spread inaccurate information and rumors. Get the correct information first-hand from your local union officers, stewards, and the above online sources.

Together, we will fight for and win a fair contract that reflects our hard work and sacrifices over the last two years!

In unity,

CWA-IBT Association Bargaining Committees
